Nun hat auch das D2Pro Team eine erste Beta Firmware veröffentlicht, die es ermöglicht den D2Pro Chip mit nur noch 9 Kabeln in Wii Konsolen mit D2C Chipsätzen zu verbauen.
Vorraussetzung ist ein neuer D2Pro Modchip mit SPI Flashbaustein. Weiterhin funktioniert die Firmware nicht mit den bisherigen Verkabelungen (13, 15, 17 oder 19).

Von Nuke kommt ein weiterer Meilenstein in der Wii Homebrew Geschichte. Mit dem Gecko Region Free ist es möglich ohne Modchip auf der Wii Konsole Importspiele abzuspielen. Um das Tool zu starten ist der Twilight Hack erforderlich welcher über das Spiel Zelda gestartet wird.
Hilfreich für das ganze ist noch der GeckoUSB Adapter.
